Highlanders made several changes in the second half, introducing Isaac Ngoma and Royn Nyamono for Brighton Makopa and Darlington Mukuli, before Benjani Junior replaced goalscorer Rauzhi.
Bosso continued searching for a winner, with Mongameli Tshuma coming close in the 86th minute after finding space inside the box, but his effort was kept out by Donovan.
Despite a late push from both sides, neither could find the decisive goal as the referee brought another fiercely contested Bulawayo Derby to an end with the scores level at 1-1.
