Highlanders Football Club is pleased to welcome Meat World Butchery on board as a partner through the Meat World Goal Contribution Award, an initiative designed to recognise and reward players who make an impact on the field.
Under the partnership, US$100 will be awarded for every official Highlanders goal — US$50 to the goal scorer and US$50 to the player providing the assist.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Meat World Butchery owner Mr Nhlanhla Sibanda said:
“On behalf of Meat World Butchery, we are proud to officially launch this special collaboration with Highlanders Football Club, an institution that represents the history, identity and spirit of Bulawayo.
“Our original initiative was to make a financial contribution whenever Highlanders scored a goal. Although the last match ended 0–0, the performance still produced a hero, with the Highlanders goalkeeper saving two penalties. We felt that such an outstanding contribution deserved to be recognised.
“This demonstrates what our partnership represents. We are not only rewarding goals; we are rewarding effort, commitment and performances that make a real difference for Highlanders.
“Through this initiative, we want to motivate the players, lift the spirit of the team and encourage every player to give their best whenever they wear the Highlanders jersey. We also want to inspire young footballers to understand that discipline, hard work and outstanding performances are recognised and rewarded.
“This is our practical way of standing with Highlanders and its players, and we encourage other businesses to support this great institution through meaningful action.
“To the Highlanders family, when you support Meat World, you are helping us continue rewarding the boys and contributing towards the team we all love.”
