Highlanders FC return to action this weekend with a trip to Ascot Stadium, where Bosso will face TelOne FC in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter.
Fresh from an important victory over Hunters FC, the black-and-white army will be looking to build on their recent progress and secure consecutive league wins as the team continues to gather momentum.
Bosso head into the fixture in encouraging form, having collected 11 points from their last five league matches while conceding just one goal during that period. The recent run has showcased the team’s growing discipline, organisation and fighting spirit.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mwaruwari urged his players to remain focused and humble despite their impressive performances.
“We would love to get back-to-back wins, but it won’t be easy. Teams in difficult situations can be very dangerous because they are fighting for points. We have to stay humble, remain positive and make sure we give everything to achieve the result we want,” said Mwaruwari.
Highlanders will be boosted by the return of captain Darlington Mukuli and Kudakwashe Mahachi, both available again after serving suspensions.
While defender Nomore Chinyerere misses out through suspension, the coach believes the squad has the depth and competition needed to maintain the team’s high standards.
“Chinyerere has done very well for us this season, but his absence gives another player the opportunity to step up. Healthy competition is important for the growth of the team,” Mwaruwari added.
Despite TelOne’s position on the league table, Bosso are expecting a difficult afternoon in Gweru and know that maximum points will only come through another disciplined and committed performance.
The Highlanders family will once again be out in full voice, and the team will be counting on the unwavering support of the Bosso faithful as they continue their journey.
